We recently sat down with Mary-Ellen from With Style Weddings and Events to learn more about her brand and speciality wedding services.

Mary-Ellen, you're a chef by trade, what attracted you to Weddings?

As a chef, we’re trained to be disciplined, well-organised and possess a strong eye for detail….attributes I found to be perfectly suited to wedding planning. I also thought my creative and artistic passions could be reflected in Weddings and Events. What's great is that I get to combine all my loves - Food and Catering, sumptuous desserts and helping to deliver unforgettable wedding experiences.

Tell us about With Style Weddings and Events.

We offer individual services and curated packages to suit all Couples, without discrimination. Our services are custom developed and designed specifically for Noosa and Sunshine Coast Weddings. Whether Couples are dreaming of a Hamptons-style weekend wedding retreat at an exclusive private property in the Noosa Hinterland, or a luxe Elopement for two by the beach….we create beautiful celebrations that are unique to every Couple.

Our Planning service usually includes event coordination, and we recommend only the most trusted vendors and venues to suit our Couples' requirements and vision.

Do you work with specific Venues?

We are happy to collaborate and work with all Noosa and Sunshine Coast Wedding Venues. We are exclusive providers for Lucio’s Marina in Noosa, and the hosts for a luxury, Balinese-inspired private property in the Noosa Hinterland.

Importantly, we limit our multi-service package offering to only 15 weddings per year, allowing us to focus on each client with absolute dedication. Outside of our comprehensive packages, we style Wedding Receptions and Ceremonies while also delivering the most amazing wedding cakes and catering throughout the Sunshine Coast.

What do you most love about weddings?

Meeting people and sharing in their special love moments – being creative – baking and cooking the most delicious treats to share with loved ones and simply being able to bring joy to the lives of others.

What are some hot wedding trends to look out for in 2023?

Couples now have the freedom to express themselves and tailor their wedding to suit their own personal and unique style. Hanging florals, personalised details in cookie decorations and the use of bright colour palettes are all gorgeous current wedding themes and touches.

What’s the best way to choose a colour theme?

Having chosen an outfit or a venue can be a great place to start as you can draw inspiration from there. Otherwise, take notice of what you’re drawn to in nature and of course, Pinterest is an amazing resource to find inspiration.

What are your favourite Wedding Destination Locations and Why?

Noosa – Why go anywhere else? Bountiful Ceremony Locations, Accommodation and Celebration Venues.

New Zealand for Elopements with the celebration back home – cosy just for two, then celebrate where you know everyone will just love it.

What’s your role at Weddings and what makes you different?

As the owner/operator I'm 100% invested in my clients. I’m on hand to answer any question that might be asked and I go above and beyond to deliver unforgettable experiences.

What was your favourite Wedding?

I might be biased but I would have to say my daughter’s wedding back in 2018. The wedding took place in Noosa at a restaurant I worked at frequently and the day was divine. I spent weeks creating the perfect Bridal Flowers, Table Decorations and Wedding Cake. On the day I was rushing around making sure everything was as it should be, before having a quick cry and then moving on to assume the role of Mother of the Bride!

How would describe the couples that you connect with the most?

I tend to connect with Couples who are looking for customisation and personal attention. I love to design unique occasions that mean something extra special to my Couples.
