Jay, tell us about WG Photography.
We are a small team of experienced and talented wedding photographers who absolutely love what we do. At WG Photography, our priority is to ensure our wedding couples have an enjoyable & unforgettable experience on their wedding day, while we capture all the emotional moments in a creative way. We make our couples feel comfortable and relaxed even if they’ve never been photographed before and encourage them to laugh and be themselves. This atmosphere in our view creates the best images!

How would you describe your photography style?
We describe our style as “authentic, timeless, natural, and intimate”. We capture natural and magical moments full of raw emotion and turn these images into a piece of creative storytelling. Our approach to wedding photography is to seize every precious moment possible and focus on the love between the couple and their loved ones. We want our couples to relive their wedding day over and over again in precious images.

What do you love about weddings?

We love the celebration of love and feel honoured to share in a couple's special day. We are driven by creating precious images that will serve as treasured mementos for the couple to cherish and remember throughout their life journey as one.

What's your role at weddings and what makes you different?

We aim to make everything as stress-free as possible for our couples. From the moment we meet our couples, we’re here to support them and provide advice wherever we can. We assist couples to plan their timeline, find trusted vendors and listen to any concerns they may have throughout the wedding planning journey and on their wedding day.

After the wedding, we stay in close touch with our couples and provide constant progress updates until the final images are delivered. Once delivered, we often stay in touch with our couples who go on to choose us to capture other special life events and family portraits. It’s always an amazing privilege to meet the next generation.

What’s your advice to couples planning a wedding?

• Create a wedding plan and budget well ahead of time (and stick to it) so you can have the wedding that you desire without any compromises.
• We recommend booking your wedding venue, celebrant, photographer/videographer, hair and makeup, florist etc as EARLY as possible! You want to book suppliers that you connect with and who will provide you with a meaningful and memorable day. We also recommend having a few back options ready to go in case your first picks are not available.
• Try not to leave things to the last minute. You want to be able to relax in the days and weeks leading up to your special day!
• Above all else, have fun! Remember that things can go wrong but trusting your professional suppliers is the first step to having a great day.

We love them all! EVERY wedding that we’ve captured is special, timeless, and important to us.
