The combination of a Hospitality and Events Manager and a Qualified Chef might seem an ideal wedding planning package from the outset, but when they’re also a highly-talented, endlessly enthusiastic husband and wife duo, you can be assured of a little extra ‘magic’.
“We just love love,” admits Sarah Dua who, together with husband and chef Ujwal, manages ‘With love’ Weddings & Events on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
We sat down with Sarah to talk wedding cakes, catering and complete coordination.

Tell us about your wedding planning service?
‘With love’ is a one-stop-shop for all things weddings. We offer bespoke buttercream wedding and event cakes, grazing tables and catering, and specialise in accommodating dietary requirements. We also offer live music, and complete wedding planning and coordination packages.
How did you get started in the wedding industry?
Ujwal is a qualified chef, and I’ve got an Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Events Management, so together we offer more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality and events industries. We’ve also owned, and run, a number of restaurants, and both have extensive live music performance experience.
Where are you based, and what locations do you service?
We are based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, but we offer our wedding services across Sydney.

At what stage of the planning process should couples start to think about your services? How far in advance should they book?
That very much depends on the client, and the service they’d like to book. Most couples start planning their big day 12-18 months out, so those looking for complete planning and coordination services are best to get in touch as early as possible.
That said, all of our services are flexible, and cater to each individual client’s needs, so we’ll always do our best to help. Getting married next week? Let’s see what we can do!
What are some wedding trends that you're loving?
Bright, whimsical florals are a favourite of ours at the moment, and we always love it when couples incorporate their own personality into the day, rather than doing “the done thing”.
We’ve also been catering some fabulous cocktail-style wedding receptions — done right they’re as impressive as a sit-down event, but often more social.
What types of catering do you provide?
In-house we offer an assortment of grazing tables and ‘pop-up pizza’ catering, but we can organise any style of catering as part of our wedding coordination service.

Do you offer wedding packages? What's included?
Absolutely! All of our services have flexible package options that can be tailored to suit each couple.
From a wedding planning and coordination perspective, we can take care of everything, or just oversee the ceremony and reception on the day.
As far as food, we offer everything from beautiful buttercream wedding cakes and generous grazing platters right through to full-service catering, quoted on a per-head basis.
We can even take care of the live entertainment, with an acoustic duo or trio, or an external DJ.
What makes your service unique?
We’re a one-stop-shop — from catering to cake, through to music and planning. We do it all, and we do it beautifully, so that our couples can enjoy their day stress-free.
Do you have a favourite wedding?
I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite! It is such a pleasure to be a part of each and every wedding. Every couple is unique and special, so every wedding day is magical.

How would you describe the couples that you connect with the most?
We love laidback couples who prioritise the “vibe” of the day above all else, and those couples who know what they want and trust us to execute their vision.
What’s your favourite moment in a wedding?
The cutting of the cake — by that point in the reception all of the nerves have disappeared, and the bride and groom are completely at-ease, enjoying their celebration.
What’s the most important element of any wedding?
There’s no one thing that makes a wedding. Good planning, and organisation behind the scenes is crucial, but focusing on what the day is actually about, and celebrating that love, is what makes it really special.
