High Church is Brisbane's most unique Wedding and Event venue in the heart of Fortitude Valley, Brisbane's entertainment precinct.

High Church allows you to conveniently host your entire wedding in one heritage listed building, over three unique areas. Starting with your Ceremony in the Church, followed by drinks on the Rooftop Terrace or in the Gallery on street level. While your guests mingle, our dedicated team reset the Church for the Reception. Intimate Receptions can also be held in the Gallery. The three unique spaces allow you to design your day, ensuring there is always a wet weather option.

The Church has a classic white interior with stained glass windows, antique arched windows, chandeliers, and polished floorboards.

The Rooftop Terrace is directly outside the Church and overlooks Brunswick Street with glimpses of the Story Bridge.

The Gallery sits on street level below the Church and boasts modern art deco interior with genuine Versace furniture.

All spaces have wheelchair access, unisex amenities, air-conditioning, surround sound, and fur babies are welcome. Being a heritage listed building, means in years to come you can revisit the space where you said "I do", we love that!

ABIA award winners 'Pure Catering' are our in-house caterer. We also offer in-house styling and floristry through 'Shane the Stylist'.

HISTORY:

High Church is heritage listed and was built from 1876 to 1900 by John Smith & Sons. The church was initially the Fortitude Valley Primitive Methodist Church. In 1977 the congregation joined the Uniting Church and combined with the Fortitude Valley Presbyterian Church. In 1982 the church was no longer required and was sold to the Queensland Potters Association. In 2005 a major project was under- taken to construct a new gallery building on street level, below the Church.
