Having recently relocated from South Australia’s Barossa Valley, where she first established the popular Rebekah Bianca Studios (formerly Rebekah Bianca Photography), Rebekah Bianca is now excited to be able to share her photographic talents with the couples of Tamworth.

“I appreciate nature and all things natural and like to incorporate landscapes into my wedding photography,” Rebekah explains.

She’s found no shortage of inspiring photographic locations in and around Tamworth and greater New South Wales, and has eagerly embraced the delights of her new home state.

ABIA chatted with Rebekah about authentic storytelling, her wedding photography packages and shooting her first wedding at the age of 16.

Tell us about your business and wedding photography services.

I’m a heart-led creative with a deep passion for storytelling, human connection and holistic living. As the founder and managing director of Rebekah Bianca Studios, I’ve built a reputation as a wedding photographer since 2006, and am known for my natural, soulful imagery and fun, yet calming, presence behind the camera.
I recently relocated from the picturesque Barossa Valley in South Australia to the beautiful Tamworth region, and am embracing this new chapter with open arms — I’ve already fallen in love with the warm community spirit and rolling landscapes.

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

I shot my cousin's wedding when I was 16-years-old and ever since I’ve travelled across Australia capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments with a unique blend of artistry, emotion and elegance.

Where are you based and what locations do you service?

I’m now based in Tamworth and service the area from Newcastle to Uralla, Armidale, Gunnedah, the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Northern Rivers, Hunter Valley and further. I have a kitted-out van that makes it easy for me to travel for weddings.

What got you interested in photography?

I always loved looking at old family photos and hearing their stories. My Mum and Dad took me and my two brothers on family holidays when I was young and Mum used to chase waterfalls and light houses to use as backdrops for our family photos. I loved taking photos at school camps of my friends and being silly with the home video camera.

What do you do when you’re not taking wedding photos?

I’m really interested in health and wellbeing and am always looking for ways to incorporate that passion into my photography. I’m into activities like fire twirling, yoga and meditation. I play guitar and the Native American flute and I’m part of a women’s circle. I haven’t been horseriding in a while, but now that I’m settled in Tamworth I’m excited to get back to it soon.

Where do you get your creative inspiration?

I love drawing inspiration from adventures and nature. I like to explore and watch the sunrise and sunset. Finding new places to see the sun come up and down is always fun. I appreciate nature and all things natural and like to incorporate landscapes into my wedding photography.

Do you offer wedding videography too?

I used to offer both a video and photo service, but outsourcing the video aspect became too distracting for me, so now I recommend wedding videographers who I know I work well with instead, and focus on professional photography and social media content. It’s tricky to manage it all well, so I like to concentrate on my strengths.

Do you offer wedding photography packages?

Yes, wedding photography packages range from my ‘Bloody Ripper Package’, which includes 10 hours of photography, through to the 8-hour ‘Heaps Good Package’ and the ‘Too Easy Mate Package’ which focuses on the essentials. Each package includes an online gallery, 10 prints and a USB supplied in a keepsake box. Plus, luxury albums and canvas and framed prints can be ordered as add-ons.

What’s the funniest photo you’ve ever taken?

I shot a female footy player, who was a bridesmaid, knocking the bride’s mother over on the dancefloor, as she marked the bouquet like a football during the bouquet toss.

What do you suggest couples look for in a wedding photographer?

I would suggest, when searching for a wedding photographer, that couples firstly make sure their shortlisted professional has plenty of good reviews. The next thing to consider is whether they’d be mates with the photographer outside of the wedding booking, because it’s important to feel comfortable and looked after on such an emotional and significant day. Trust, connection and the ability to be authentic, with the photographer you choose, are key.

What makes your service unique?

I’m a country girl at heart, so I’m not afraid to jump on top of a car, sit on someone’s shoulders or climb up a wall or wine barrel to get the shot. I’m also very casual, fun, down-to-earth and full of good, yet calm, energy. People describe me as a ‘True Blue Aussie’ character who is about capturing the day's best moments. I feel authentic moments are the best ones and am drawn like a magnet to them with my camera.

Do you think there’ll ever come a time when you’ve had enough of shooting weddings?

No, every time I meet a new couple I’m reminded how unique every wedding is, and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of shining a light on love and helping each couple stay true to the point of their wedding, which is celebrating their love and connection.
