Sound Express is a comprehensive one stop shop for all things wedding entertainment and the audio visual technology required to amplify it.
We pride ourselves on customer service and retention and strive to deliver prompt and transparent communication with all our clients with attention to detail being one of our core values.
Why did you decide to grow your services from DJing to all Wedding Entertainment?
When we started to DJ weddings over 12 years ago. We were constantly surrounded by weddings and all forms of wedding entertainers and much like a DJ reads the crowd to play the right music, over time we grew the knowledge of which different types of entertainment suited which types of weddings and from early on had the vision to one day reposition our business to offer a more personalized service to brides and grooms rather than just DJ’s.

We sell happiness is the easiest way to describe it! Exceeding the expectations of brides and grooms is what gets us out of bed happily every morning.

What type of Wedding Music is most popularly requested? (Live band, DJ, Vocals etc)
When booking a DJ most of the brides in this generation of couples who are getting married absolutely love their 90’s old skool R&B music and we find that this in particular is definitely the most popularly requested genre.
The second most popularly requested style of music is international music from a variety of different cultures which Sound Express specializes in as one of our strongest niches. We can cater to any language music our client’s desire.
If booking a band, modern cover bands are the most popularly requested.
You can provide dancers as part of your services. What has been your favourite dance you have seen so far?
Our favourite dance shows have to be the award winning Burlesque Spectacular & Hot Boogie Nights by WB Productions. Burlesque Spectacular was the Winner Best Dance Production ACE Award six consecutive years in a row.
We have just recently brought the show to the wedding market and are looking forward to offering our brides and grooms a different kind of wow factor for their wedding which is an exciting alternative to the norm. 
What type of special fx and atmospherics do you offer?
Sound Express can execute any out of this world request for special FX that our clients envision. Whether it be as simple as the usual fireworks and dry ice or Co2 guns for the bride and groom when they enter all the way to fire shows, lighting, smoke/haze, room full of bubbles, snow, confetti and more.
What advice would you give Engaged Couples planning their wedding day?
Write your run sheet wisely. Do your speeches or same day edit during dinner, which saves you 45 minutes getting two things done at the same time, leaving more time for dancing later.
The bouquet, garter and farewell arch shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes in total, so you can end your dancing music about 10 to 15 minutes before the venue wants everyone out. Sometimes people leave 30 minutes for this and find that the wedding fizzles out too early. Your wedding night is precious, use every minute wisely.
Don’t stress if things aren’t running on time. The night can be unpredictable, and some things can cause your run sheet to go off track, like uncle Joe babbling on about your childhood for too long but not to worry, as long as you have a professional master of ceremonies running the show, he or she should be able to easily catch up by starting the next formality slightly earlier to make up for lost time. In essence, the worst that could happen is that your dance floor time will be shortened.

We had a recent wedding where we provided a traditional didgeridoo player who transported the bride, groom & guests through a dreamtime story.
