Tell us about your Wedding Services?
InterContinental Adelaide has been hosting and planning events since 2009, and our experienced Wedding Coordinator, and dedicated Events Team, work closely with each couple to ensure every detail is taken care of.
What spaces do you have available for Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions?
Each wedding ceremony is a once-in-a-lifetime event and the backdrop of our iconic marble staircase is the perfect setting for that moment.
Our unique and versatile banquet spaces effortlessly blend luxury and comfort, and can seat up to 300 guests. Our reception venues are also the perfect blank canvas, so couples can create their dream day down to the finest detail — think suspended flower rings, chandeliers, a stunning pillarless ballroom ceiling and beautiful marble floor.

What packages do you offer? What's included?
We offer an assortment of tiered wedding packages, with varying catering, beverage, cake, styling, audio-visual, lighting and accommodation inclusions to suit every taste and occasion. There’s even a night’s accommodation, for the first anniversary celebration, included for couples who opt for our Opulence package.
What on-site accommodation to you offer for couples and their guests?
Whether they’re seeking a suite with a large bathroom, dressing area, kitchen and living area for pre-wedding preparation, or just a restful bed for the evening, we offer a variety of rooms and suites to accommodate couples and their wedding guests. Our breathtaking views, luxurious amenities and outstanding service are included with each and a significant discount on our best flexible rate is offered with many of our wedding packages.

What photographic opportunities are nearby? Are there on-site locations?
There are so many! The grand staircase in the lobby is a great spot for a classic overhead shot and the InterContinental’s iconic driveway and ballroom are popular backdrops. Then there’s the nearby Adelaide Cathedral, the Torrens’ riverbank, the Adelaide Oval footbridge, Pennington Gardens, Rymill Park, Adelaide Train Station and even Adelaide University for a range of beautiful and varied photo locations.
Do you have any recommended suppliers?
All of our suppliers are carefully chosen for their service and attention to detail. Among our favourites though are Encore Event Technologies — they are one of the leading audio-visual specialists in Adelaide and have been behind some of the largest live events in the Asia Pacific region — we’re proud to say they provide all of our on-site audio-visual and event services at InterContinental Adelaide.

How far in advance should couples book?
We recommend couples book as early as possible to secure their dream date. Once they do, they’ll meet with our dedicated Events Team and their own personal Wedding Coordinator, who will be their point person for every desire and detail right up until the wedding day.
How would you describe the couples that you connect with the most?
All of our couples are truly special, in that they demonstrate an unparalleled enthusiasm and passion for their big day.
