Kate is a 10+ year consecutive ABIA Awarded Finalist as voted by past couples for her ability to make their ceremonies fun, stress-free and heartfelt. 

We spoke with Kate Ritchie Marriage Celebrant to find out more about Ballarat and her services!
 

Tell us a little about Ballarat Marriage Celebrant Kate Ritchie?
 

I have been fortunate to work as a full-time professional Celebrant since 2008. I am lucky to work with great couples to celebrate their marriage and with beautiful families to farewell and celebrate their loved ones.

How many wedding couples have you married?
 

Since 2008, there have been hundreds and hundreds of couples who have allowed me the privilege of sharing their special day with them.

What is your point of difference?
 

My strengths lie in the ease of communication and being highly organised. Having a background as a Vocalist and performer for many years, as well as extensive public speaking experience, allows diversity in the way I present weddings.

This means each ceremony is not only written for the couple but presented in a manner that also reflects them.

Why do you love being a celebrant?
 

I am invited into the lives of my couples at one of the happiest events in their lives. I am also a supporter for families at times of extreme sadness, my role as a Celebrant, whilst it is dealing with extreme emotional opposites, it is a more rewarding profession than I ever could have dreamed.

What are your favourite wedding venues in the Ballarat Area?
 

Ballarat is spoilt for choice when it comes to amazing wedding venues and ceremony locations. There are many wonderful options both in the city of Ballarat and in surrounding areas.

My newest favourite…as I have many favourites….is the brand new ceremony and reception venue, The Grand Majestic, it is absolutely stunning.

What was your favourite wedding and why?

It is really hard to say I have a favourite, I truly have many! However, there is one consistent element that always ensures an amazing ceremony and that is a combination of lots of fun and heartfelt moments too and that is the ceremony where the couples main focus is on the ‘getting married’ part.

You can always just feel the significance of the day for the couple and that usually is reflected by their family and friends.

Do you offer other services?

When I’m not assisting with Marriage Ceremonies, I am assisting families to Celebrate the Lives of their loved ones.
