ABIA meets owner Hannah Agora, who offers special effects and 360-degree video booth hire for weddings in Melbourne and throughout Victoria

Given her husband Nick’s 20 years in hospitality and her own 15 years of experience in event management, the transition to a wedding business providing special effects and a 360-degree video booth experience was a relatively easy one for Hannah Agora of Forever Moments in Melbourne.

“Our own wedding sparked our passion and set us on the path into the wedding industry,” she explains. “We’re driven by a love for creating unforgettable experiences for couples.”

Certainly, the combination of fog and spark effects, fog bubbles, CO2 jets and CO2 guns have created showstopping wedding experiences for couples and their guests, and the three-dimensional photo booth adds to the upbeat atmosphere.

So, ABIA took some time to chat to Hannah about the little things that set her service apart, and some of the secrets behind her wedding magic.

Tell us about your business and wedding entertainment and effects services.

At Forever Moments we specialise in creating unforgettable wedding experiences through our range of entertainment and special effects services. Our offerings include stunning spark and fog effects, mesmerising fog bubbles and dynamic CO2 jets and guns that add excitement and energy to any event.

We also provide cutting-edge 360 video booths and 360 video booth runway experiences, which allow couples to capture the day, and their guests, in a unique and fun way. Our goal is to transform each special day into an extraordinary celebration, leaving couples and their guests with memories to last a lifetime.

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

Our own wedding sparked our passion and set us on the path into the wedding industry. We’re driven by a love for creating unforgettable experiences for couples. With my husband Nick’s 20 years in hospitality and my 15 years in event management, we combined our expertise to provide couples with memories they'll cherish forever.

We are based in Melbourne and service all of Victoria.

We offer a variety of wedding entertainment and special effects to elevate events and create lasting memories. Our services include:

• Spark and fog effects — which add a touch of magic with elegant spark fountains and atmospheric fog.
• Fog bubbles — a unique and whimsical effect that combines fog and bubbles for an enchanting experience.
• CO2 jets and guns — bring energy and excitement to celebrations with dynamic bursts of carbon dioxide that create a smoke-like effect.
• A 360 video booth — essentially a three-dimensional photobooth, that captures couples and guests from every angle with an immersive 360-degree video experience.
• 360 video booth runway — a Hollywood runway-style experience that offers a unique twist on the traditional video booth.

At what point in their wedding planning should couples consider entertainment and special effects?

Couples should consider entertainment and special effects early in their wedding planning process, ideally right after securing the venue and deciding on the overall theme or style of their wedding. This allows them to fully integrate these elements into the event, ensuring they complement the atmosphere and timeline. By planning ahead they can also coordinate with other vendors to optimise the impact of the special effects and entertainment.

When choosing a 360 video booth couples should consider the quality of the equipment, the video resolution, the size of the platform (if they’re planning for group shots or lively dance moves) and the customisation options available to fit with a wedding theme. Do you see certain trends in wedding special effects and entertainment? What’s popular with couples at the moment?

Special effects — like spark fountains, fog bubbles and CO2 guns and jets — are gaining popularity for adding dramatic flair to key moments like the first dance or grand entrance.
Couples are also increasingly interested in interactive elements, like 360 video booths and live streaming options, that engage guests and capture moments from unique perspectives.

How did you become interested in special effects and video booth hire?

Our interest in entertainment and special effects was sparked by our own wedding, where we saw firsthand how impactful these elements can be in creating a memorable event. With Nick’s background in hospitality and mine in event management, we were well-qualified and inspired to combine our expertise and passion to offer these exciting services. The joy we experienced at our wedding made us want to deliver the same level of excitement and personalisation to other couples on their special day.

What’s the most memorable moment you’ve captured with your video booth?

One of the funniest moments we’ve captured with our 360 video booth was at a wedding where the bridal party decided to have a spontaneous dance-off. Everyone got really into it and the video booth captured some hilarious and memorable dance moves from all angles. It was a highlight of the evening and gave the couple and their guests a lot of laughs and great memories to look back on.

If a couple gave you ‘free reign’ to plan the special effects for their wedding, what would it look like?

If given free reign, we’d design a truly spectacular and immersive experience for the couple. We’d begin with a grand entrance featuring a combination of fog and spark effects to create a dramatic and unforgettable arrival. For key moments like the first dance, we’d use spark and fog effects to add a touch of magic and elegance and CO2 guns would be set up to give the bride and groom a fun and explosive entrance to the dance floor. As the evening progresses, we’d energise the dance floor with CO2 jets synced to the beat of the music.

To add an element of fun and whimsy, we’d also include fog bubbles throughout the event. And, of course, the celebrations would be captured with our 360 video booth, ensuring a unique and unforgettable record of the special day.
