First, some tips!
There are 9,000+ Celebrants Australia-Wide, so it can be overwhelming trying to narrow down 'the one'! So when you're ready to book your marriage celebrant, be sure to meet with them in person to ensure they are the right personality fit - it's so important!
Before booking any wedding service, it is highly recommended to read the experiences of other couples through verified customer reviews or listen to referrals from friends & family. Remember, Celebrants are far greater than simply reading from a piece of paper, the best celebrants have ample experience in public speaking and the legal procedures of hosting a successful wedding ceremony.
Other factors to consider are whether they have a good PA system your guests can actually hear you during the ceremony. Another consideration is how many years of experience they have and examples of them thinking quick on their feet to find a solution to any situation that had occurred during a wedding (there are always impressive stories from our celebrants!).
We strongly suggest you consider personality as opposed to price when booking a celebrant. When you spend that extra attention finding a personality fit that shares similar values, it is one less thing to worry about because a celebrant you can relate to, understands you and will have everything under control for a very important part of your wedding day.
Be sure to select a celebrant that is experienced, attentive, highly recommended and one that will help you express your personality & style at your ceremony - this will make you feel your most comfortable whilst declaring your love and commitment to your best friend.
How was this List of Best Celebrants Determined?
Nearly 30,000 Married Couples each year are invited to share the experiences they had with their Wedding Vendors through the ABIA Weddings Platform.
All of the Marriage Celebrants below have been rated and reviewed by past wedding couples, meaning our list has been based solely on real customer experiences. Newlyweds (married across a 12 month period) rate their wedding vendors out of 100% (not the standard 5 stars) using ABIA Weddings' 4 Pillars of Perfection: Quality of Product, Quality of Service & Communication, Attitude of Staff and Overall Value. The ABIA Wedding Awards are not a popularity contest, however to be recognised as a prestigious ABIA Finalist, a Celebrant must be servicing a decent number of wedding couples per year, to ensure we are representing quality and experienced marriage celebrants.
These top Celebrants of Sydney and surrounds have all achieved over 95% in customer satisfaction ratings too, so you can be assured that they are trustworthy vendors offering only the best for you and your partner's big day! Meet the following list of the Best Marriage Celebrants from the 2023 New South Wales ABIA Wedding Awards - when you click on their business name, this will take you to their reviews :)
