White Chapel Kalbar is South East Queensland’s quaint wedding venue and only 55 minutes from Brisbane. It’s located in a gorgeous, country town called ‘Kalbar’ located in the stunning Scenic Rim.
The beautifully renovated 134-year-old country church is now the ‘White Chapel’ wedding venue.
The style is city chic meets stylish country. It boasts all the romance of a cute country church but offers all the mod cons, technology, and creature comforts you’d expect from the very best high-end city venue.
Your Wedding Ceremony
Set on half an acre sits White Chapel Kalbar – a historic late 1800’s chapel which has been transformed into an elegant chapel with original timber floors, American style wainscoting timber trim, chandeliers, and lighting imported from Texas and includes a luxurious ‘partner’s waiting room’ at the back of the chapel.
The Chapel has a 90 person seated capacity.
Your Wedding Reception is right next door to the chapel.
An amazing bonus of White Chapel Kalbar is that your wedding party doesn’t have to travel anywhere for the reception.
Behind the Chapel and its beautifully landscaped gardens, you’ll find ‘Black Hall’ the original old Sunday school which has now been transformed into a stylish Amish style-barn.
The 1934 Sunday School hall has been transformed into an elegant, country hall that meets a 6-star hunting lodge design. Black panelled walls, antler chandelier, and fireplace complete the picture. Black Hall can hold receptions for 70 seated and 85 cocktail style.
Beyond Black Hall is the ‘Barn bar and Grounds’.
The Barn Bar features many of the recycled chapel materials, such as old gothic windows and doors and signs. You’ll love the hand-made pressed metal bar, the antique roll-top bath for drinks & the vintage ladder chandeliers.
Extra wedding activities on the property.
There’s also a manicured lawn area called ‘The Grounds’ which is ideal for wedding games and can even accommodate a dreamy, outdoor wedding. It’s the perfect place for after-ceremony drinks and yard games.
‘The Grounds’ is ideal for outdoor weddings and can be set up with festoon lighting and barrels for evening drinks.
And where would your guests stay?
Well, there are 120 beds within 15 mins of White Chapel Kalbar and we have our own 24 seat bus to transport your guests to and from the venue. We can even offer our very own 4.5-star deluxe bridal residence – Herrmann House. Located just a few minutes up the same street!
Pricing Guide and Venue Options:
Reception package pricing starts from $129.00 pp for Cocktail style, which includes 4.5 hours beverage package.
Chapel hire from $1,175.00.
Reception options – We can offer cocktail style in the Pergola Outdoor area complete with an outdoor fireplace as well as in the rustic Barn Bar. For fine dining and buffet-style, there is Black Hall.
Table & Catering options - We have cocktail style, sit-down dining 2 and 3 courses, banquet style, and grazing platters. We offer Epicurean – fine dining and Country Harvest, a more relaxed style of dining.
Ceremony Locations – Chapel and outdoor in the grounds. We can offer a beautiful French door arbour and a special outdoor ceremony all-inclusive package from $ 895.00. We have also hosted a black gothic ceremony in Black Hall in front of the stone fireplace.
- Accommodation Options – It can be arranged for our very, own 24-seater bus to pick up and take guests to the many different accommodation options close by. There are over 120 beds available with 15 minutes from Air BnB houses, Hotels, rental cottages to Kalbar’s own BnB – Wiss House.
Most importantly, we have our own 4.5 star deluxe Bridal Residence ‘Herrmann House’ -just 10 houses away from the chapel. It can sleep 8 people in luxury and is perfect for brides to prepare for their big day. (www.herrmannhouse.com.au)
