Terms & Conditions + Competition Rules for the ABIA BAG Competition (also known as the BAG Competition or the Brides And Grooms Competition)
Competition Rules
1. COMPETITION STRUCTURE
a) Entrants of the ABIA BAG Competition have the opportunity to enter to win the Major Prize of $10,000.00, which is to be spent ONLY on participating suppliers of the ABIA BAG Competition.
b) Entrants of the ABIA BAG Competition have the opportunity to enter to win one (1) State Prize of $1,000.00 to be spent ONLY on participating suppliers of the ABIA BAG Competition.
c) Entrants of the ABIA BAG Competition have the opportunity to enter to win various extra giveaways provided by participating suppliers of the ABIA BAG Competition.
d) To be eligible to win a prize in the ABIA BAG Competition, entrants must register through the Competition Form on the ABIA website (www.abia.com.au) and ‘Comment on Facebook' with the answer to the competition question on the prize image of the supplier they wish to spend their prize money with, or the runner-up prize they wish to win.
e) There is no limit to the number of times an entrant can answer the competition question on each suppliers image in the ABIA BAG Competition.
f) Each competition question answer in the ABIA BAG Competition will be judged individually.
g) The competition will commence on the 29th of April 2021 and end on the 21st of July 2021.
h)The competition start date and end date is subject to change at any time.
i) The Winners will be announced within seven (7) business days of the entries close date.
2. ELIGIBILITY:
The ABIA BAG Competition is open to entrants who:
a) are over the age of 18; and
b) are currently engaged; and
c) are getting married in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia or Western Australia; and
d) entered the competition between 5PM AEST on the 29th of April 2021 and ends at 11.59PM on the 21st of July 2021.
3. HOW TO ENTER:
In order to be eligible to win a prize, the entrants must:
a) Register via the online form provide at the web address: www.abia.com.au/win ; and
b) Complete the Competition Form in its entirety; and
c) Answer the Competition Question by commenting on each Vendor's image in ABIA's official competition album on the ABIA's Facebook Business Page (@abiaweddings), which they wish to spend their winning prize with.
4. WINNER SELECTION
a) One (1) entrant will be chosen as the winner of the Major Prize of $10,000.00 to be spent only on the participating & featured vendors in the ABIA BAG Competition.
b) One (1) entrant in each of New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia will be chosen as the winner of the State Prize of $1,000.00, to be spent only on participating suppliers in the ABIA BAG Competition.
c) The Winner of the Major Prize will be announced on the ABIA website within seven (7) business days of the entries close date.
d) The Winner of the State Prize in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia will be announced on the ABIA website within seven (7) days of the entries close date.
e) There will be one (1) one winner of each of the 'Extra Prizes' provided by the Prize Sponsors, unless otherwise stated.
f) The Winner of each 'Extra Giveaway Prize' will be announced on the ABIA website within seven (7) business days of the entries close date.
g) All Winners will be chosen by the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA Weddings) and solely at its discretion.
h) The Winners will be contacted via the email provided on the Competition Registration Form.
i) The Winner will be required to respond to the Winner announcement email within 7 business days, to claim the prize.
j) Should the Winner fail to respond within 7 days, the prize will be forfeited.
k) The Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA Weddings) reserves the right to announce the Winners publicly at its discretion.
5. LEGAL FRAMEWORK:
a) The Entrant must agree to the Competition Terms and Conditions of the ABIA BAG Competition in order to participate in the competition.
b) The Entrant who is announced the Winner of the ABIA BAG Competition must understand, agree and accept the individual Terms and Conditions of each of the participating vendors to claim the prize and spend their winnings with the participating suppliers.
c) By participating in this competition, the Entrant accepts the conditions of the competition and waives any legal action against the Australian Bridal Industry Academy.
d) By entering the ABIA BAG Competition, the entrants understand and agree that their details will be provided to each participating vendor of the ABIA BAG Competition which is participating in their wedding state and or residential state, and therefore will be placed on each of the participating vendors' mailing database.
e) By entering the competition, the entrant understands, agrees and accepts that they may be contacted by each vendor of the ABIA BAG Competition which are participating in their wedding state and or residential state.
f) The entrant will communicate directly with each of the participating vendors if they do not wish to be contacted during or after the competition ends.
g) By entering the ABIA BAG Competition, the entrants absolve the Australian Bridal Industry Academy of any liability resulting directly or indirectly, wholly or in part, from the ABIA BAG Competition
h) The Australian Bridal Industry Academy reserves the right to change the rules of this competition at any time, without prior notice.
i) By participating in this competition, the Winner agrees that the Australian Bridal Industry Academy will not be liable for any omissions or failure by participating vendors, including but not limited to instances where a participating vendor fails to provide a product or service, wholly or in part.
j) Verification of submissions is at the discretion of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy.
k) The selection of Winners is at the sole discretion of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy.
l) The Australian Bridal Industry Academy reserves the right to disqualify any submission for any reason it sees fit.
m) The Australian Bridal Industry Academy reserves the right to make any changes to the competition, at any time, without prior notice.
n) The Australian Bridal Industry Academy reserves the right to remove any comments written by any persons which is considered not suitable, inappropriate or offensive.
o) The entrants accepts and agrees that the Australian Bridal Industry Academy is not liable for any action, omissions or failures by any of the participating vendors in relation to the competition, communication or correspondence during or after the competition ends.
7. PRIVACY POLICY:
a) All Information collected during the course of the ABIA BAG Competition may be used for marketing purposes and promotional purposes by the Australian Bridal Industry Academy.
b) Information provided by the entrants of the ABIA BAG Competition to the Australian Bridal Industry Academy will be provided to the participating vendors of the ABIA BAG Competition.
c) By filling out the entry form for the ABIA BAG Competition, the entrant understands they will be placed on the Australian Bridal Industry Academy’s mailing database and thereby gives permission for the Australian Bridal Industry Academy to send the entrant electronic communication relating to the competition and any other information and or marketing related emails.
Terms and conditions:
- The Competition Rules and Competition Terms and Conditions must be read, understood, acknowledged and agreed to by the Entrant in order to participate in the ABIA BAG Competition and be eligible to win a prize in the ABIA BAG Competition.
- By filling out the Competition Form on the ABIA website (www.abia.com.au/win), the entrant understands, accepts and agrees to their details being provided to each of the participating vendors in their wedding state and or residential state.
- The entrant understands, accepts and agrees to the participating vendors in their wedding state and or residential state contacting them via the email address and or phone number provided on the competition entry form, during and after the competition.
- If the entrant no longer wishes to be contacted by any participating vendor, the entrant understands, accepts and agrees that they must request this directly from each individual participating business they no longer wish to be contacted by.
- The entrant understands, accepts and agrees that they will not contact the Australian Bridal Industry Academy or its representatives requesting to not be contacted by the participating vendors.
- The entrant absolves the Australian Bridal Industry Academy of any liability directly or indirectly relating to their details being provided to a third party.
- The entrant agrees not to take legal action against the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA Weddings) for any liability directly or indirectly relating to their details being provided to a third party.
- The Winner must accept and agree to the standard Terms and Conditions of the participating vendors in order to redeem the prize.
- If the Winner does not accept the Terms and Conditions of the participating vendor, they will revoke their right to that portion of the prize.
- The Winner of a Runner-Up prize must agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Extra Prize Agreement agreed to by the Extra Prize Sponsor in order to redeem the prize.
- The Winner will directly correspond with participating vendors to book in their product and services
- The Winner is only eligible to spend their prize money with the participating vendors they have commented on in the ABIA BAG Competition.
- The Major Prize Winner may spend the $10,000.00 prize with any or all of the participating vendors.
- The State Prize Winners may spend the $1,000.00 prize with any or all of the participating vendors.
- The Winner must confirm their booking with the participating supplier within six (6) months of being announced the Winner, in order to use their prize money.
- All unpaid invoices must be provided to ABIA by Winner within six (6) months of being announced the Winner, in order to use their prize money.
- A maximum deposit of 20% will be made by ABIA on the participating vendors, within 14 days of receipt.
- ABIA will pay the balance of the invoice within 30 days of the wedding date.
- The Extra Prize Winners must accept the terms and conditions of the Extra Prize they have won, in order to redeem their prize.
- All consultations must be undertaken between the participating vendor and the Winner with regards to any of the products and services of the participating vendor.
- The Winner and the participating vendor must agree on the quantity, style or design of the prize in advance.
- Each invoice provided to the Australian Bridal Industry Academy for payment, will be paid by Direct Deposit or Credit Card.
- If any of the payments made by the Australian Bridal Industry Academy incur a fee, charge or cost, this fee, charge or cost will be covered by the prize money and reduce the prize money by the value of the fee, charge or cost.
- If the Winner cancels their booking with a participating vendor, ABIA will only make payment on the cancellation fee in line with the participating vendors’ standard terms and conditions.
- If the Winner cancels, amends or alters their original booking with any participating vendors and this incurs a fee, charge or cost, this fee, charge or cost will be covered by the prize money and reduce the prize money by the value of the fee, charge or cost.
- The Winner must understand, agree and accept the individual Terms and Conditions of each participating vendor which they wish to spend their prize money with.
- The Major Prize money is not transferrable or interchangeable.
- The Major Prize money cannot be redeemed for cash.
- If the Major Prize Winner chooses products or services from the participating vendors that do not reach the total value of $10,000.00, the Winner forfeits the remaining value of the prize money.
- If the State Prize Winner chooses products or services from the participating vendors that do not reach the total value of $1,000.00, the Winner forfeits the remaining value of the prize money.
- If the Winner of the Major Prize Money does not accept the Terms and Conditions of any of the participating vendors, they will revoke their right to that portion of the prize money.
- If the Winner of the State Prize Money does not accept the Terms and Conditions of any of the participating vendors, they will revoke their right to that portion of the prize money.
- If the Winner of an Extra Prize does not accept the Terms and Conditions of the vendor which is providing the prize, they will revoke their right to redeem the prize.
- By participating in this competition, the participating vendor absolves the Australian Bridal Industry Academy from any liability relating to and or resulting from the ABIA BAG Competition, the prize money and the products and services offered to the Winner.
- By participating in the competition, the participating vendor accepts the conditions of the competition and waives any legal action against the Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd.
- The selection of Winners is; in the first instance selected by the participating vendors and the winner will be chosen at the discretion of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy Pty Ltd and no correspondence will be entered into.
