Celebrating your special day .. Your special way The ceremony is the opening scene on your wedding day. As such it sets the tone for the entire day. The way that opening scene plays out depends very much on your marriage celebrant and your interaction with him or her. It is very important you and your celebrant build a rapport so you get the best out of each other. Personally, I love weddings and feel privileged to be involved in such a personal and exciting event in your life. In addition to the many phone conversations and emails I like to meet face to face with my brides and grooms at least twice before the wedding to ensure we build that all important rapport. There is a range of ceremony types to choose from - classical, traditional, spiritual, or themed. Within this range there are further choices. I have a wide range of vows, readings and special ceremonies you can choose from to include in your ceremony. You can even write your own. There may be family or cultural traditions you would like included. The choice is yours. I will work with you to develop an individually designed ceremony that captures your unique style. Of course I'm trying to give you a better ceremony than anyone else can. As part of that I ask my couples if they have a personal story such as how they met or how he proposed. We then write the story as part of the introduction to the ceremony. Some of the stories are quite touching and romantic. For example the one where the groom took his girl friend for a helicopter ride telling her he had won it in a raffle. They landed at a golf course just before dusk to find a table set for two with champagne on ice. When she asked where the rest of the diners were he went down on one knee, held out the diamond ring and asked her to marry him. It was a lovely wedding. The aim is to provide a beautiful, meaningful and memorable ceremony that is enjoyed by the bridal couple and their guests alike. This is your day, relax and enjoy it.
