Tips for creating and gathering content

Visuals and email marketing is so important for any wedding businesses and it isn't easy coming up with content that sparks an interest to your prospective wedding clients.

Use the following tips to help you create and gather content for your email blast. These tips can help inspire you to connect with your prospective wedding clients!

Your email should include:

  • Hero shot image of your product/service (not your logo)

  • Acknowledgment of their wedding and entry in the ABIA competition.
    • This can be in the area of "how did you find out about us".

  • Incentive. Think deal, discount, package offer, special codes etc.
    • if you have offered an Extra Giveaway - mention this.

  • A Call to Action

  • Description on your business.

  • More Images (Use professional images that showcase your business).

  • Also, too much content can be a deterrent.

Remember:

  • Treat your subscribers like VIPs

  • Keep it interesting.

  • Make sure its designed for all devices.
    • (Mailchimp will do this automatically)

  • Show some personality.

  • Keep it short and concise.

  • Be inspiring.

It’s good to think about which emails in your inbox you open and which ones you delete immediately when you’re creating your own campaigns. What makes you want to open an email? Our guess is a piece of information you don’t already have.

Subject Lines

But it’s not just what’s inside your email that you have to think about; it’s also your subject line. Most people quickly scan an email before they decide whether they want to open it, so you’ll want your subject line to make it clear that a campaign is worth your subscribers’ time.

Examples of great subject lines

No one wants to read an email that goes on and on. So, inject some personality! Try to write the way you would speak to your customers, and keep in mind the personality of the people you’re talking to.
