Last year, three resident ABIA Angels: Natasha, Stephanie and Angelica, all had the chance to be first-time Bridesmaids. We wanted to share our memories with you...

As a Classical Pianist, the Bride reflected her personality with a timeless and understated theme, underpinned by vintage beauty.

The morning echoed tears from Maid of Honour (Kasia) and I (Angelica),
as the moment had finally arrived when our girl was to marry the love of her life…

Milos is one of those people that everyone wants to be around - an outgoing and loveable character with a contagious laugh. And the woman of his dreams is poised, gifted and ferociously determined.
It truly was a case of opposites perfectly attracting.

The wedding reception took place amongst the picturesque vineyard of Witchmount Estate.
The estate's retsurant was the scene of their First Date and further payed homage to the place her Groom-to-Be popped the question -  a winery on the Mornington Peninsula.

Classic Jags from Triple R Luxury Car Hire added an elegant touch to Sarah's poetic bridal entrance.

The ceremony united the couple in a stunning Cathedral where the pair adorned golden crowns, symbolising that the Bride and Groom have become the King and Queen of their newly created family.

One of the most important things to get right on your wedding day, is the photographer. When I think of Milos and Sarah, this is what I envision; a naturally stunning, composed girl and her larger than life charmer. This is exactly what Doux Wedding Corp captured on their wedding day.

When it was time to take bridal party photos, the clouds rolled through and we had minutes to take elegant photos as the rain sprinkled upon us. Luckily, Doux Wedding Corp managed this stellar shot!

The reception further brought together the Polish and Serbian cultures as our families celebrated in a charming venue. An abundance of floral garlands in green, lavender and off-white hues reverberated the colours of the bridesmaids dresses and seemlessly decorated the rustic room.

The couple spent months learning a routine for their ‘First Dance’ from one of Australia’s best and most awarded professional ballroom dancers, who just happens to be Sarah's cousin!
Needless to say, not a dry eye was left by the end of the song.

The night continued on with entertaining cultural traditions. One of which was the ‘Head of the Household’ test! One glass was filled with vodka, the other with water. The Bride and Groom both selected a shot glass and quickly poured it down the hatch (with no chaser, ouch!). Polish custom dictates that the whoever selected the vodka shot will be the "Head of the Household”.

Although they never admitted who chose the vodka shot, I’m pretty convinced Sarah got it!

This opened the night to a vibrant Serbian live band, music from PHP DJs, a full dancefloor and of course, the customary throwing of the garter and bouquet.

The wedding brought together two cultures in a loving celebration, with understated elegance.

One year on and the couple are living happily ever after with the new addition to their family, Cupcake!

A note from Maid of Honour, Kasia:
My beautiful girl, this time last year we woke up early in preparation for the day's festivities! We got our hair and make up done, we drank espresso Martinis and had Wisniowka shots and I promised you I'd be there every step of the way! All to calm the nerves as we waited in anticipation for the big Serb band to arrive. You looked beautiful, radiant, ready to take the next step, with the man of your dreams. The look on his face as he saw you walk down those stairs is something I'll never forget

A note from Bridesmaid, Angelica:
Looking at you that morning is something I’ll remember, always.
I was so happy for you, proud of you and so full of joy that we could share this moment. Thank you for giving me that experience. And to Milos, thank you for being the light in her eyes and sharing your jubilant spirit with our family.
