Nearly 30,000 married couples are invited each year to rate, review and recommend their wedding vendors through ABIA Weddings Australia. They rate their vendors using our four pillars of perfection: Quality of Product, Quality of Service, Overall Value and Attitude of Staff.

All of the below venues received a customer satisfaction rating of 95% or above, and were announced as winners, finalists or runners-up in the 'Wedding Venues' category at our ABIA Wedding Awards in South Australia in 2023.

The events team at Longview Vineyard leaves nothing to chance and ensures every wedding detail is meticulously handled.

Ceremonies are held on the lawn, over-looking the vine-covered hills, and the property’s charming reception room offers a blank canvas. It features vaulted ceilings, solid timbers, textural stone, galvanised iron, and a wall of windows which make up one side of the barn and showcases panoramic views over the vines.

A tiny copper-roofed chapel and an enchanting outdoor space set the scene for wedding ceremonies at The Manor Basket Range, an historic stone-walled castle — complete with working bell tower — set within rambling gardens just 25 minutes from Adelaide.

French rattan-style seating, a pond and water features make for stunning photographs, and the relaxed, yet sophisticated, venue offers a bridal dressing room, onsite accommodation and a choice of character-filled, indoor and outdoor reception areas to cater to every style of wedding, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations.

Glen Ewin can cater for everything from small intimate dinners to large sit-down receptions for up to 300 guests.

A 160-year-old Morton Bay fig, hay bales, a windmill and cacti on the driveway provide an assortment of photographic backdrops and post-wedding accommodation is available, for up to 11, in the 1864 Homestead.

Photographic opportunities abound, and The Chaff Shed — with its exposed brick walls and raked ceiling — offers an ideal shelter for rustic, country-style receptions. Able to seat up to 80 guests comfortably, it can also host larger cocktail-style gatherings, spilling onto the surrounding lawns in fine weather. The original homestead offers onsite accommodation, there’s a dedicated Event Manager and a choice of outdoor ceremony locations.

Sweeping rural vistas, a serene lakeside ceremony setting, a vine-covered alfresco terrace, a covered beer garden, a fairy-light canopy and a well-equipped woolshed — which provides a comfortable, yet rustic all-weather reception venue — set the scene for wedding ceremonies and receptions at Mt Beare Station.

Less than an hour’s drive from Adelaide, the privately-owned working sheep and cattle station also offers a helipad for dramatic arrivals. Specialising in modern Australian fare, for many the restaurant has become a go-to for all sorts of occasions, but weddings are a particular speciality. The Club’s beautifully-manicured grounds offer a serene backdrop for wedding ceremonies, a dedicated wedding co-ordinator is on hand to help with every facet of planning, the onsite function room is well equipped for all styles of celebration — with a dance floor, large bar and full catering facilities — and an assortment of wedding packages are designed to accommodate every budget and need.

The new function room, in the recently renovated Kooyonga Golf Club clubhouse, offers couples a light-filled space, with floor-to-ceiling bifold doors providing magnificent views over the picturesque golf course. The zone allows exclusive access to a private bar, terraces and bathrooms, and the northern terrace overlooks the intimate ceremony garden, making it an ideal location for pre-reception drinks.

Able to accommodate 160 guests banquet-style, 200 on long tables, or more than 300 for cocktail celebrations, the flexible space is also suitable for more intimate gatherings, with balcony-style receptions on the terrace suitable for up to 60 guests.
