Will you be my Bridesmaid Ideas - A Real Story.

You will be absolutely inspired by Beautiful Bride-to-Be Dana, with her “Will You Be My Bridesmaid” Idea at her Engagement Party.

We interviewed Dana recently as the ABIA team were incredibly inspired by her creatively organised approach to asking her best friends to be by her side on her Wedding Day as Bridesmaids.

Where were you when you asked your best friends “Will You Be my Bridesmaid?”

I decided to ask my best friends to be my bridesmaids at my engagement party so that I could ask them all together (as we don’t all live in the same town).

My photographer Sammi and I went to the front yard, away from the party so we could capture the moment privately. During this time, my mum went and gathered the girls and told them to come and see me out the front.

Their reactions were priceless and I’m so glad I decided to do it while we were all there together. We popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

What did you include in their Bridesmaid Gift Bags?

I kept my Bridesmaid gift bags nice and simple, I bought blue reusable tote bags from Sportsgirl. Inside the bags I had a small box wrapped in purple ribbon with wattle print bridesmaids robes inside for the girls to wear while we get ready on the day of the wedding.

How did you personalise your gifts?

I made the girls cards with their name on the front and inside I wrote "Join me in the canola and be my Bridesmaid?/Maid of Honor?".

The canola reference is because we are getting married on my Fiance’s parents farm in Jerilderie in a field of canola, Spring 2020.

Why do you think it is important to have your closest girlfriends by your side when Saying I Do?

They’ll keep me calm and make sure I have the most amount of fun possible, I couldn’t do it without them.

Where is your Engagement Dress & Shoes from?

My dress is the ‘making waves dress’ from Cameo the label, I bought it online from Fashion BNKR.

I bought my shoes from ASOS, they are white leather embellished floral heels by the brand Dune London.

Who was your Engagement Party Photographer?

My photographer is so talented, she went above and beyond and captured the whole day perfectly. Her name is Samantha, and you can find her on Instagram: @places.people.plates

Do you have any other plans for the Bridal Party?

The only wedding plans we’ve made so far is chosen our date (5 September 2020) and venue!

It’s a very exciting time because my Maid of Honor is also planning her wedding, she gets married in November this year and I’ll be in her bridal party too. So much wedding planning fun to look forward to!
