What was your favourite moment from the Wedding Day?
âStephanie & Daniil:The whole day was such a whirlwind and we couldn’t pinpoint an exact moment, but seeing what Daniil and I had achieved by planning our wedding from overseas was such a feat. We wouldn’t have been able to have such a wedding without winning the ABIA Bride And Groom competition, it was a wedding we could have only dreamt of having and our dream was granted!
Where did you find your wedding vendors?
Stephanie & Daniil: Most of our vendors were from ABIA as we had won the ABIA BAG Competition. I’d recommend using their trustworthy directory as it saves you a lot of time! Make sure you do check out the vendors still yourself before going through with booking them, it’s always good to get a feel for who you’re working with and set up a cohesive team for your wedding day!
What was your wedding theme?
Stephanie & Daniil: Our theme was a mix of rustic, luxury and wine! Our dream wedding location has always been a winery, which is why we chose to marry in a wine cellar and have photographs taken by the vines of the estate. We had a mixture of gold bridesmaids dresses, navy suits, white roses, with a pinch of red. We kept our venue quite simple dressing it with white candle centrepieces, polished crystal, tea lights and fairy lights, we had rather the winery itself shine instead of overdressing it taking away from the natural beauty of the vines in the background and the rustic feel of the Cricketers Pavilion.
What is your advice to engaged couples?
Stephanie & Daniil: Don’t sweat the small stuff. From planning your wedding to the day itself, things won’t be perfect no matter how organised you are!
Remember, this is a day to celebrate your love for one another, bringing the family together and sharing this day with those you love most. Our goal was not to have a perfect wedding, our goal was to gift this precious day to those we call family, give them a celebration, which they all deserve and bringing those far and wide together.
