How did A Little Cake Place start?

A Little Cake Place:

"It was a culmination of moments. At the time I wasn't feeling challenged in my workplace. I watched 3 movies in 1 week where the leading lady decorated cakes - I decided that was a sign!

I took a few classes, traveled overseas to learn more... and a 'hobby' I was very passionate about, very quickly turned into a business!"

What is your passion for growing your wedding cake business?

A Little Cake Place:

"It really comes down to the fact that I am doing what I love. However it's not just about growing and expanding the business, it's also about continuing to improve my skills as a cake decorator, as well as building relationships with others in the industry... I wear a lot of hats as a business owner!"

ABIA: Why do you love designing wedding cakes?

A Little Cake Place:

For me the joy of cakes is a combination of elements. Firstly I love to bake; I always have even when I was little (my mum could tell you a few interesting stories!).


Secondly I am a very creative person, and for me the process of designing and decorating cakes is a way to express my creativity.


I also love collaborating with my couples, and the challenge of creating 'their' cake. It is very rewarding bringing their vision to life.
