Meet Amy & Andy, a couple from Victoria who decided to tie the knot at the stunning Zonzo Estate, Yarra Valley.

Tell us more about how you met.

Andy and I met at a retro in the city. I was out with the girls and I wasn't interested at all, I even told him to go away a few times. After a few drinks, we got chatting and he immediately impressed me with his kind nature, good looks and gorgeous personality. After 4 years Andy decided to propose... 

How was the question popped?

Andy and I planned a week away to Queensland for our baby moon. We went to a market in the morning and then drove to a lighthouse in the afternoon for a stroll around the beach. He had been very quiet all morning/acting funny/not talking much. 

He finally pulled me aside to a private little spot on the beach and dropped on one knee and asked me to marry him! It all made sense as to why he had been off all morning. He said he was just waiting for no one to be around as he wanted it just to be us in the moment.

Where did you get married?

Zonzo Estate, Yarra Valley. While on maternity leave, I loaded my newborn baby into the car each week and drove around trying to find the perfect spot from Geelong, Melbourne CBD, Mornington Peninsula to the Yarra Valley. 

One day I asked my mum to come up to the Yarra Valley with me and we stopped by Zonzo. Upon entering the grounds, I realized this was the one. The Capella caught my eye, the grounds were just devine, it had everything I was looking for. 

Andy didn't even see the venue before I booked it. Typical male right? 

Tell us more about planning your big day...

I was in my absolute element. I'd been dreaming of this day since I was a little girl. 

We decided to go for a really classic theme. Males in black suits, girls in champagne, with pops of white and pink flowers. Our day was a dream. Everything went so smoothly.

Our guests were spoilt for choice with Italian Dishes and desserts. The Zonzo staff were fantastic. We wish we could do it all over again!

What were your favourite details of the wedding?

My favourite part of the day was the Ceremony. Our whole crowd was emotional and in tears. We just felt the love in the room.

What was most important to you both on your wedding day?

Andy and I both wanted our guests to be indulged in good food and wine and that's exactly what we got at Zonzo Estate. Lots of beautiful wines and amazing Italian dishes.

 
Who were your favourite wedding vendors and why?

This is a hard question... we loved all of our vendors. I think my favorite was the flowers. I LOVE flowers and I had a vision in my head. My florist literally nailed the brief. She was just a dream to work with.
