A Modern & Simple Wedding on the Sunshine Coast.

Juan and Ivana met back during university. They felt like fate brought them together, they didnt realise until they got together that we were born 2 days apart at the same hospital. They also lived so close to one another and worked in the same area and knew of each other during high school but like true modern love story, the couple met through the wonderful world of social media.
"Juan asked me to marry him on a hot air balloon exactly 2 years and 2 days before our wedding. I had no idea as all I thought we had been told was it was a surprise adventure from Juan's mum as an early Christmas present. I thought he also didn't know what we were doing.. little did I know."

So far, their wedding day was the best day of their lives. They gave themselves two years to plan their wedding day and dont regret it at all. They were able to plan without rushing and it gave the couple time to do a lot of research.
The Wedding Theme was modern, simple, and neutral. Ivana & Juan aboslutely adored their experience with the team at the ABIA Awarded Flaxton Garden, where they hosted their wedding ceremony & reception.
The most important mission of their wedding was to make sure all their guests fun, and boy did they have the best time! Ivana & Juan shared that all they want to do is go back and re-live it all over again!
Leading up to their summer wedding, the weather forecast for the week looked a little on the grim side. With 80-90% chance of rain, this was the first time Ivana was feeling nervous. It did rain the whole week of the wedding, but they shared with ABIA they knew Juans dad was looking down on them. The couple woke up on the day of the wedding to clear skies, which then turned grey and all of a sudden, it not only rained, but it hailed and then about 10 minutes before the ceremony, the rain stopped, and a rainbow came out!
"One thing we would tell future wedding couples is, if there is one thing to not stress about, its the weather! Its the one thing you simply cannot control, so just relax and remember that your day is still going to be amazing, and it wont stop you from having the greatest day."
Unfortunately their Plan A fell through with an outdoor wedding ceremony as the grounds were soaked, but with the efforts of the brilliant team at Flaxton Gardens, the couple said their Plan B space was absolutely perfect, it was indoors, but still showcased the sweeping views of the Sunshine Coast. And because the skies were clear, they could still have their petal throw after the ceremony which made for great photos with the ABIA Award Winning Life & Love Photography.

"It's too hard to decide. Flaxton Gardens being our venue for our ceremony and reception exceeded our expectations. Not only is the venue incredible, but the team was so great and helped us put together a great night.
