It might be only a short drive from Sydney’s CBD, but the seclusion of San Martin Akuna Bay makes it feel another world away, and as General Manager of Food and Beverage, JK Chapeyrou is well aware of the charms of this breathtaking venue.
“Our waterfront wedding venue features a unique location right in the heart of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and is surrounded by exquisite scenic beauty,” he explains.

Tell us about your wedding venue and services.
San Martin Akuna Bay is a premium destination wedding venue in Sydney’s north. A waterfront wedding venue, right in the heart of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, the unique location is surrounded by exquisite scenic beauty, offering the perfect setting for weddings and events for a range of special occasions.
We extend the warmest of welcomes to wedding parties and guests, support marriage equality and endeavour to ensure that each wedding we celebrate is a memorable day filled with elegance and style.
How long have you been hosting weddings and how many have you hosted?
San Martin Akuna Bay has been open for four years, and we host about 35 weddings annually.
What styles of weddings can you accommodate and what event sizes?
At San Martin Akuna Bay we can accommodate all kinds of weddings from ‘ceremony only’ events, to intimate micro weddings and grand receptions. Our venue can host a minimum of 40 guests and a maximum of 200 seated, or 250 for cocktail-style receptions.
What wedding packages do you offer?
Our wedding package options range from the standard inclusions of our ‘Beginnings’ offering, right through to the more comprehensive offerings of our ‘Dream’ and ‘Royal’ packages. All include a pre-wedding tasting menu for the couple, alternate service menus with the wedding cake served on platters and access to our audio visual equipment and parquetry dance floor.
What spaces do you have available for wedding ceremonies and receptions?
Ceremonies can be held indoors or outdoors on our expansive waterside deck, immersed in the spectacular scenery of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, while receptions are held within our modern venue, which offers floor-to-ceiling windows and an exterior balcony that overlook the marina and spectacular surroundings.
How far in advance should couples book?
We advise our couples to book at least six months in advance for the best chance of securing their preferred wedding date.
What photographic opportunities and accommodations options are available on-site, or in the area?
Our stunning National Park setting, waterfront location and onsite marina provide romantic photographic backdrops aplenty, and plans are in place to offer onsite accommodation — in the form of floating cabins — from September 2025.
